CPAP Study Guide to VCE Business Management

The CPAP Study Guide to VCE Business Management is a publication that is designed to supplement any senior VCE Business Management text. The new 7th edition is currently being revised by the author, John Mitchell, and will closely follow the new 2023-2027 Study Design. The Study Guide will follow the same format as previous editions to include the key information students require to successfully complete the VCE Business Management Unit 3 and 4 course. The author will use his years of experience as a teacher, presenter and examination assessor to cover the key knowledge and skills in a way that focuses upon preparation for assessment tasks, in particular, the end of year examination. The 7th edition will include the latest ‘exam tips’ as well the inclusion of any new developments relating to theory/practice and/or interpretations of the new Study Design. The 6th edition of the CPAP Study Guide to VCE Business Management (2022) is a publication that is designed to supplement any senior VCE Business Management text and closely follows the 2017-2022 Study Design. It includes the key information students require to successfully complete the VCE Business Management Unit 3 and 4 course. The Guide has been written and updated by experienced teacher and examination assessor, John Mitchell. The guide places a strong emphasis upon preparation for assessment tasks, in particular, the end of year examination. The publication has been updated to include the latest ‘exam tips’, as well the inclusion of any new developments relating to theory/practice and/or interpretations of the relatively new Study Design.

John Mitchell is an experienced VCE Business Management teacher at St. Joseph’s College in Geelong. He holds Bachelor Degrees in Management and Applied Science from the University of Ballarat, as well as a Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne. Prior to teaching, John worked in the financial services industry, specialising in the provision of mortgage products, before transitioning to the education sector in 2004, where he has become a leader in the field of business education. John has continued to help students achieve their best in VCE Business Management. He assesses end of year examination papers on an annual basis and is an enthusiastic, engaging and experienced presenter at student lecture programs. In 2012 he introduced a flipped classroom to his VCE Business Management classes and presented the technique to teachers on many stages, including the annual Comview conference for Commerce teachers. He is the founder and creator of the popular website TeachingBubble.com, which provides video lessons to enhance student understanding of the VCE Business Management course.
